Built on trust

It all starts with people. With the wish to do things well, and with the trust that is built over time.

The story of Confidence Optic began in 2018, with an important change in my own life. I am Bogdan Craiu, the founder of this brand.

Before entering the world of optics, I was an athlete and a model. Football was part of my life for many years, but at 28 I closed that chapter and set out on an entirely new path. That is how I came to the optical industry, a field I would never have imagined, at first, turning into the project closest to my heart.

I worked for two years in a long-established optician's shop, where I learned from experienced people how much professional training, attention to detail and the relationship with each client matter. I then completed the optometry technician course, and the wish to build something of my own led me to take the next step.

That is how Confidence Optic was born.

We started on the road, close to people

In our first years, we worked mainly through our mobile optician services. We travelled to company offices, to clients' workplaces and even to their homes, to give them easier access to optical services.

We worked with many companies and met people from very different fields: television, fashion, business, and also people who simply wanted the right solution for their eyesight. Every meeting taught us something. We understood that beyond prescriptions, frames or lenses, every person has their own needs, their own way of life and their own expectations.

That is why we have always tried to offer more than a product: to listen, to explain and to find the right solution for each person.

In 2025, our story found a new home

After years of going to people ourselves, it was time to give them a place where we could meet every day. In 2025 we opened the Confidence Optic shop in Bucharest, at 12 Petru Rareș Street. We kept our mobile optician services, though, because they are part of who we are and of how we chose to build this business.

The shop was designed as a space where professionalism meets a pleasant atmosphere, where people can feel comfortable, discover carefully chosen frame collections and get guidance without feeling they have to choose in a hurry.

For us, a pair of glasses is not just an accessory. It means sight, comfort, function and, at the same time, part of the style and personality of the person wearing it.

A family business, with values we believe in

Today, Confidence Optic is also a family story. I work alongside my wife, and that gives our project a special meaning. We share the same wish to build something lasting, based on respect, reliability and genuine relationships with people.

We focus on quality, on the attention we give each client and on choosing products we believe in: eyewear brands that care about design, materials, comfort and quality of workmanship.

We believe a good choice is not made on looks or price alone. What matters is how the frame sits, how the lenses are chosen and fitted, each person's visual needs and the attention given to the whole process. That is why we explain the options, answer questions and offer reasoned recommendations, so every client can make an informed decision.

We do not set out to suit everyone at any cost. We want to be the choice of people who value quality, experience and a relationship built on trust.

Why Confidence?

Our name was not chosen by chance. Confidence means trust, and this is the principle we have built the business around from the very beginning.

Trust is earned through concrete things: through what you promise and what you deliver, through the way you treat your clients, through the responsibility you bring to your work and through a willingness to find solutions even when things are not simple.

We know a pair of glasses is a personal and important choice. That is exactly why we want the people who walk through our door to leave not only with the right pair of glasses, but also feeling they have been listened to, understood and guided with care.

We look back with gratitude on the road travelled from 2018 to today, and with the same wish to grow, to learn and to bring more quality to everything we do. Confidence Optic is not just an optician's shop. It is a project built over time, through work, experience and relationships with people who have given us their trust.
