Every brand at Confidence Optic is chosen by the same criteria: design, materials, comfort and quality of workmanship. We don't put anything on display that we don't believe in and wouldn't wear ourselves.
Our catalogue brings together established houses — Karl Lagerfeld, Tom Ford, Persol, Ray-Ban, Police — and independent designers whose work deserves a fitting showcase: Gigi Studios with its bold shapes from Barcelona, Lindberg with its ultralight Danish titanium, Moscot with its New York heritage dating from 1915, and Jacques Marie Mage with its limited editions in Japanese acetate.
Some of these brands are available in very limited quantities in Bucharest — a few exclusively at Confidence Optic, at 12 Petru Rareș Street. Our team guides you and tells you the story behind each pair of glasses.
The established houses
At Confidence Optic, Karl Lagerfeld, Tom Ford and Persol represent the classic side of eyewear: frames created in the workshops of houses with decades of history. Karl Lagerfeld brings the discipline of Parisian tailoring — black, white, one well-placed metal detail. Tom Ford embodies timeless glamour, with oversized acetates and decisive shapes that bring 1950s Hollywood style into the present. Persol, from Turin, remains the Italian reference for sunglasses and its Meflecto hinge. Ray-Ban and Police complete the line-up with models that have become landmarks of urban style.
The independent designers
Beyond the big names, independent designers form the most distinctive pillar of our selection. Gigi Studios, founded in Barcelona, designs frames with character — thick acetate, colours that don't ask permission, for people who wear glasses as a statement. Lindberg, from Denmark, makes titanium frames with no screws and no welds, so light you forget they are there. Moscot carries a century of New York heritage: founded in 1915 on the Lower East Side, its Lemtosh and Miltzen models have become icons worn by artists around the world. Jacques Marie Mage produces limited editions in Japanese acetate, with an obsessive attention to historical references — every model has a name, a story and a numbered run.

A visit to Confidence Optic is not a routine purchase. Our team takes time to look at your facial features, posture and personal style before suggesting a selection of frames. Not every brand suits every face: a Ray-Ban aviator calls for a different setting than a Moscot Lemtosh or a Gigi Studios. This guidance, offered at every visit, is at the heart of what we do.
You can book a quiet consultation, with time to try on and compare models at your own pace. You are also welcome without an appointment during opening hours: Monday — Friday, 10:00 — 19:00, Saturday 10:00 — 14:00, at 12 Petru Rareș Street, Bucharest.
